Minister Tanya Geffrard is a Candidate for Ordained Ministry and serves with her husband, Dr. Antoine Geffrard, at Hope United Methodist Church in Southfield Michigan. The two of them have 4 adult children. Her son Ali is featured on the cover at the 2013 Boston Marathon, where God’s grace spared him from injury in the bombing. This is Tanya’s first published song; one that she wrote from her heart’s desire, as she strives to run the race that God has set before her. Minister Geffrard’s passion is preaching and teaching the Word of God. “Writing songs”, she says, “happens in those special moments with our Father.” Not only is this one special because it is the first song she has completed, but more so because she was able to work with her cousins Minister LaNette Hester and her son, Jonathan Lawrence.
